Solaris 11 Express AI Notes

This was presented at the final MSOSUG meeting for 2010; thanks to everyone for an entertaining year and looking forwarding to kicking off again in January. Look forward to comments and/or corrections.

    mount -F hsfs /dev/lofi/1 /repo
    should be
    mount -F hsfs /dev/lofi/1 /repocd

    Andre FYI for completeness I guess at secition 3.5 Additional packages If you install from the live CD you need to install the installadm package

    Interesting! My install from CD included the installadm bundle – but that was the “text mode installer” (SPARC).

    Mine was x86 and not the text installer

    I did a test with text based install iso on x86 and the installadm package is include there. Looks like is just not included when you run the installer from the live CD
